Adult Continuing Education

The University of Mary extends its academic opportunities to adults seeking continuing education and continued competency in their professional discipline. An agency or program outside the University of Mary may apply online for credit approval of a course, workshop, or seminar.  

To apply for credit approval submit the application below 30 days prior to the learning event (Educational activity) The application for credit approval can be made in five easy steps.

(A minimum of 15 contact hours required for one hour of workshop/course credit and a minimum of 10 hours for each CEU)
(Some graduate programs may transfer in graduate credits with a letter grade attached (A, B). Those graduate credits with P/F attached are usually not considered)
STEP 2   Attach brochure or program outline
Brochure or program outline should include:
  1. Learning objectives/Outcomes, Learning Activities, Assignments (if applicable)
  2. Schedule: Date, Time, Place, Number of class hours, Topical outline
  3. Brief curriculum Vitae of the presenter(s) Upcoming Events
(Attachments must be MSword or plain text documents with a file size under 1 MG)

STEP 3   Submit the application
STEP 4   Complete Special course Registration forms
Upon approval, University of Mary, Office for Academic Affairs will notify the sponsor and Special Course Registration forms will be sent to the sponsor.
STEP 5    Mail Completed Special Course Registration Forms along with a check
Instructors should have each credit-seeking participant complete the Special Course registration form and attach a check made payable to: University of Mary.
