For admission into the division, a minimum GPA of 2.75 is required. **At least one philosophy/theology course must be an ethics course (PHI 308, 312, 482, THE 207, 215, 220, 315, 325, 363, 382). ***May substitute SOC 102 or SOC 202 (anything other than these will have to be approved by the Nursing Admissions Committee).
Enrollment in NUR 222, 226, 248 is restricted to students who have declared nursing as a major. All 300- and 400-level nursing courses (except 308) are restricted to students who have been accepted into the Division of Nursing.
No nursing or nursing prerequisite course (i.e., course listed with an * or ***) may be repeated more than once. The grade received during the student's second attempt will be used in evaluation for admission. The total number of nursing and/or prerequisite courses which may be repeated is limited to three.
University Core Requirements:
- 3 courses in Humanities (written communication, oral communication, art)
- 3 courses in Philosophy/Theology (one must be an ethics)
- 3 courses in Mathematics/Natural Sciences (microbiology, biochemistry, anatomy & physiology)
- 3 courses in Social & Behavioral Sciences (sociology, general psychology, lifespan psychology)
128 semester credits required for graduation 64 semester credits minimum must be from a four-year college/university
