DMZ (Demilitarized Zone)
"The area that divides North and South Korea!"

Leaving Seoul Foreign School for the DMZ!  JP Rader our host is the standing in the middle.  He took us to the USO office for our DMZ bus tour!

First stop before entering the DMZ was a resturant and souvenir shop.  We are standing in front of a truck loaded with rice seedlings!

Lunch just before we entered the DMZ. We had two Korean meals as options for lunch!

This is a picture with two of the American soldiers who were our guides for the DMZ tour!

Linsey and my wife Shirley pose next to the ROK (Republic of Korea) soldier who is standing guard in the building used for negotiations with North Korea!  Linsey is not too sure about this photo opportunity because these guards are SERIOUS and we were told not to get too close! ROK soldiers at the DMZ are required to be black belts in Taekwondo!

The blue building to the left (foreground) is the building in the picture to the left.  The building in the backgroud is a North  Korean building. If you look closely you will see a North Korean soldier standing to the left of the first door!  Also in the window behind the soldier was a North Korean soldier looking at us with a pair of binoculars!

This village is in North Korea and is called "propaganda" village. It is basically a "ghost" town!  The North Korean flag is flying on the flag pole, which is considered the tallest flag pole in the world!

This is the bridge of "No Return" that leads into North Korea! Last time it was used was when the sailors from the USS Pueblo were returned to the US after being captured by the North Korean Navy in 1968!
