Major in Business
Administration:
BUS 203, 204, 215, 311, 333, 362, 403, 404; ACC 101, 102; CIS 101; COM 109; ENG 103; MAT 180, one ethics course; and three (300-400) division electives. The following courses may also be used as divisional electives: COM 330, 413, 414; THE 382.

Major in Sports and Leisure Management: ENG 103, COM 109,
MAT 180, CIS 101, one ethics course; Professional courses include: ACC 101, BUS 204, BUS 215, BUS 311, BUS 333, BUS 371, COM 204, COM 206, COM 326, COM 329, COM 413, COM 414, PED 121, PED 157, PED 159, PED 313, PED 321, PED 401; 19 additional credits will be required from six SLM courses (200-400), including a University Internship in Sports and Leisure Management, or Professional Internship in Sports and Leisure Management, or University Internship in Health Fitness. You have the option of choosing one or more of six different concentration areas. You will be required to take three of the listed courses (12 credits) in each concentration area. Concentrations include:

    Concentration in General Business: Three courses in the 300-400
    -level division electives and also can select from:

        COM 413 Organizational Communication
        COM 414 Business Communications
        BUS 444 Internship: General Business

    This is for the student who does not have an interest in a particular
    business area.

    Concentration in Accounting–three courses:

        ACC 301 Intermediate Accounting I
        ACC 302 Intermediate Accounting II
        ACC 363 Fund Accounting
        ACC 440 Internship

    Concentration in Marketing–three courses:

        COM 330 Principles in Advertising
        BUS 340 Sales Management
        BUS 341 Retailing
        BUS 342 Contemporary Issues in Marketing
        BUS 448 Internship: Marketing

    Concentration in Management–three courses:

        BUS 346 Small Business Management
        COM 413 Organizational Communications
        BUS 371 Human Resources Management
        BUS 433 Survey of Management
        BUS 446 Internship: Management

    Concentration in Finance–three courses:

        ACC 202 Cost Management & Strategy

    Entrepreneur Track

Note: If a student has a minor in an area, he or she cannot also have a concentration in that area. A grade of C or higher is required in all courses of concentration.
