Bismarck, ND — The University of Mary men’s cross country team signed Patrick Paradis of Helena, MT, today to an NCAA letter of intent to run for the Marauders beginning in the fall of 2007. Paradis is the first student-athlete to sign with the Marauders cross country program during the early signing period which begins today.
The team captain of both the cross country and track team, Paradis is currently a senior at Capital High School in Helena, MT. The son of Cindy Paradis and the late John Paradis, Patrick Paradis is also involved in many leadership positions in high school. He has served as both the junior and senior class president and is president of the Eco Club and Respect Club.
“We’re excited to have Patrick sign early with us,” said U-Mary Cross Country Head Coach Mike Thorson. “He’ll be a nice addition to our team. We put an emphasis on cross country runners in our recruitment efforts and we’re glad to see our efforts rewarded with this early signing.”
